What would you do for your daughter if she has to stay in the hospital and undergo chemotherapy for leukemia?

Firstly I would stay by her side as much as possible (you will need a break sometimes) but just being there is important. Depending on her age you could read to her, play with paper dolls, color, stamp, video games & movies, put on tattoos, dress up for fun and to make her feel pretty when she loses her hair. My son was a baby-just starting to walk and the nurses let my older kids paint the windows. We taped pics of babies and Winnie the Pooh around his crib. Most hospitals have Child Life Experts that will bring in toys and have lots of fun ideas. My son had a BMT at 1 yr old. He was only given a 10% chance of living and he will be 13 in 2 weeks. So stay strong for your child and upbeat when around her. Good Luck. Leukemia can be beaten.
