What are the consequences of drinking alcohol with the flu?

Ok so its new years eve tmrw and im gonna go to a party and drink. The problem is i had the flu over the past 2 days. today all my symptoms were virtually gone except for a sore throat and i figured after some more Nyquil tonight and salt water gargling I will feel better tomorrow. I am definitely going to go so there is no use talking me out of it but I was just wondering how this will impact me. thanks
