Yes it is illegal for both of those things. If the cop smells alcohol or weed then he will give you a drug test to make sure that you have it in you and if you test positive then they will take the necessary action to make sure that you get punished. It is a constitutional amendment that the legal drinking age is 21 and if a cop has any reason to believe that you have been drinking (strange behavior, smell of breath) then it is his responsibility to enforce the law on you. It is also illegal to consume weed anywhere in the united states unless you have it under prescription for medical usage. It is a federal law and each state has different punishments for it. If the cop smells weed then he will test you and arrest you if you have any marijuana in your system. Keep in mind that marijuana stays in your system for up to a month so some people who haven't smoked in weeks can still get caught if the cop has reason to believe that you were smoking it.

I have a question on unethical real estate practices.?

I put in a offer for a bank owned home that was accepted by the seller so we went into contract. The lender that I was preapproved with ended up denying the loan a day before the contract expiration based on the fact that the home was 'dirty'. Exact verbiage on the denial letter advises that the collateral was in poor condition. I found another lender and asked the seller for an extension. I received a e-mail back advising that they would sign an addendum extending the contract however I would be subject to a $200/day penalty. I signed and had the bank expedite the loan. for 7 days we asked for the extension which the selling agent advised she would get for us. The day we were ready to close the selling agent advised that the seller accepted another offer. We are very concerned that the selling agent may have purposely stalled us to accept a higher offer from her own client to make more money and not have to split commission with our realtor. Is there any recourse in this case?

Pregnant Chihuahua....Abort or keep?

The story starts 3 weeks back when I was driving down the highway and I saw that my car was overheated, I heard a funny noise every time I put my foot on the gas. I pulled over and let the car cool down, added distilled water, and waited. I then tried starting the car, which seemed to be an impossible feat. I finally got it started and it felt like it was about to die. I got the car towed to the mechanic and they told me that I blew a head gasket *only. I got that replaced, timing belt, water pump, and the thermostat. The car seemed less powerful afterwards, and quite a bit louder when I accelerated *I thought no big deal. Anyhow, two days ago I noticed a subtle metal clanking sound when I would give the car gas, it seemed difficult to start, and I would drop RPMs when I would put the car in gear. I thought plugs, I took the car to the parts store and they tested the computer b/c the engine light was on. It said 4th cylinder misfire. I changed plugs and wires. NO CHANGE!!! Please help.

first of all, tsh should be between .3 and 3.0 so he is super hypothyroid...that may be causing many of his digestive issues. secondly, I think with such a high antibody range he will be found to have hashimotos. Mayo clinic has great info on both and there is a yahoo health group for thyroid that would be of benefit to you. I will also tell you about my group, www.thyca.org which is for thyroid cancer, but has other excellent info on endos and surgeons and case studies etc. I had hashimotos for years, undiagnoised, and then nodules, then during surgery they found out it was cancerous. now, no thryoid and no cancer and I take synthroid every day and I am 2 years out and clear! It takes 6 weeks or more to feel the difference in the meds, adding fiber and water help with the bowels, and take the synthroid first thing in the morning with water and do not eat for at least 1/2 hour. take the calcium (with d is best) at least 4 hours later, so I do the synthroid in the morning and calcium at night. I use a pill organizer, so if I wake up and it is after 4 or 5, I take the pill, and when I get up at 6:30 I can look over a check if I took it or not. If you do not have cancer, you can use a generic synthroid which will save you money. it is not recommended for thyca...because it is not consistant enough and we use it for cancer supression. the other book I wanted to tell you about is the complete thyroid book by dr ain. paperback, around 20 bucks at borders, but they may have it at your library. the yahoo health group for thyroid will be an excellent place to ask questions, and vent and get support. good luck and good health to the hubby! I don't know what kind of mechanic you are taking it to, but Honda has a switch that kills the engine when the oil pressure drops. Hard to believe he doesn't know that. You could try a higher viscosity oil, but it may only help for a while. It's either the oil pump. or maybe the bearings. That's pretty early for an oil failure on a Honda.

Here lately I have been extremely worried about college. UNC would be my DREAM school to go to. I am a junior in high school and I am currently taking 3 AP cles, an honor cl, and my other cl was an internship. I make really good grades, never made below a 96 in high school and I have always took every honor cl offered. I am currently ranked number 2 in my cl, but right now I am having struggles with my AP english cl. I am scared I am going to make my first B ever which would affect my rank and GPA. I still shouldn't move down past the top 10 and my GPA would remain fairly high since it is weighted on a 6.0 scale. My SAT scores aren't to hot as of now. I only got a 1590 for my first time, but I am going to start studying and settle for no less than a 1700. I am white and a resident of NC. If you are trying to lose weight, well, its not going to happen, because your body is going into starvation mode and will store fat , rather than burn it for future use. the best way to go about it is to eat 6 small meals a day, if you wana go veg, theres nothing wrong with that, just make sure that you are getting your protein from other sources such as lentils, legumes, kidney beans etc, as your body needs protein in order to help you burn fat. A rough example of what you could be eating a day is; Brekkie- Banana with soy milk + 2 sl wholegrain toast and a spread of your choice. Mid morn snack- 2 thick ricecakes spread with low fat cottage cheese and tomatoe + fruit. Lunch- Bowl of chicpea salad. arvo snack-200gr tub lowfat youghurt, mixed with 2 T mueslie. Dinner- Stirfrie veggies, served with a handfull of pasta. Snack- Handful of unsalted almonds or macadamias + fruit . Drink 2 and a half litres of water a day. Make sure you excersise 5 times a week. I am 17 right now and I can definitely see your perspective of things. My aunt who is was in the almost exact situation. She was fine before, I never even knew she was gay until I was about 9. I went on a trip about 12 hours away from home with my aunt, grandpa, step-grandma, brother and my aunts girlfriend. My brother stuck me in the car with my aunt and her girlfriend. The whole way they kept kissing each other, talking about what they were going to "do" to each other etc. At the time, I was confused and uncomfortable. However, I came to accept it after 2 years, with my mom explanations and understanding. My advice is to talk to your sister and explain to her that what she does is inappropriate. If she takes it the wrong way, then I would limit the time spent around her with your kids. I am all for gay rights and all but I do not think it's right, regardless of ual preference, to subject younger kids to seeing such things. Good luck!

Firstly I would stay by her side as much as possible (you will need a break sometimes) but just being there is important. My son was a baby-just starting to walk and the nurses let my older kids paint the windows. We taped pics of babies and Winnie the Pooh around his crib. Most hospitals have Child Life Experts that will bring in toys and have lots of fun ideas. My son had a BMT at 1 yr old. He was only given a 10% chance of living and he will be 13 in 2 weeks. The relay fuse on my Kia Rio has blown several times when steering turned on full lock?

On several occasions my Kia Rio engine has cut out after the relay fuse has blown. I am convinced this is caused when I turn the steering wheel on full lock, ie turning into a parking space or into a driveway or any tight manoeuvre that requires full turns of the steering wheel. I can go months without it happening and then it can happen twice in a week. Is it to do with the powered steering or maybe applying the brake at the same time as the steering. Anyone any ideas?

I found my pitbull in the streets when she was 6 months old. She is going on 6 years of age now. When I found her she had a rope tied around her neck and mange on one side of her body. I took her to the vet and now she is a healthy and gorgeous dog. She is great with me and my children but she hates everyone else. I have gotten into one fist fight and many arguments over her because she would bark at people and would try to attack them if I did not have her on a leash. I recently began taking her out with a muzzle and that has prevented her from barking at people, she doesn't even try to go their way. When anyone comes over I have to lock her in the bedroom. Every time I make a sharp turn or a fast turn, I hear a clanking sound and my steering wheel slightly jerks a little. The clanking is similar to a sound that may be heard when a rock shoots up and hits the bottom of your car. Could it be my steering and tie rods? Gosh I wish there were some suggestion I could give you. I brushed anyway even through it made me gag for like 5 minutes straing and used mouth wash if my mouth still felt dirty. I'm sorry but I dealt with this annoying routing for the first 3 months. Just make sure your stomach is empty (which is the usually situation) before you brush. Also, try not to expect the gagging. Try to control your reflexes with your mind. Maybe if you do it first thing in the morning and give yourself some time, you can crawl back into bed for another 15 mins. I know it takes a lot out of you.

Okay so me and this girl Caroline are best friends. We have been for about 6 months and I eventually developed feelings for her. I told her I'm not okay being friends and kind of asked her out without asking if you get what I mean. Before I really enjoyed talking to this one guy in my biology cl and I thought of him as a friend more than a clmate. I DON'T have a crush on him. He got a girlfriend and her friends sit next to where I sit in the morning. One day, he comes and asks for help for his homework so I letted him copy my report . Then his girlfriend's friends start to taunt me in front of me and this made me uncomfortable and awkward even though I'm with my friends. Everyday after that they tease me in front of my face everyday at school in the morning and when they do I really want to cry. Is it my fault I'm in this situation? What should I do about this? HELP! Cat urine smell?

My one cat just turned a year old. He is not neutered yet, but is scheduled to be this week. He has "sprayed" on carpet, but has mostly done it on my linoleum floor. How do I get the odor out plus disinfect the areas he has urinated at? How do I keep him from "spraying" after he is neutered? I have had cats all my life ,but I haven't had the problem of them "spraying" before. I even got a 2 year old cat from the Humane Society and he wasn't neutered yet and he never urinated everywhere. There were even other cats in the house before him. PLEASE HELP because I cannot get the smell out.

A Thought About Health Insurance?

Instead of taxing everyone for National Health Insurance and placing everything into the hands of the Feds, why not give businesses, small businesses (backbone of America), tax credits so that they can afford to offer group insurance for their employees? I know a lot of small businesses who can't afford to offer it because it's very expensive. I'm one of the fortunate business owners who carries b/c & b/s, but the expense is astronomical. Wouldn't that also encourage a lot of dead beat people to find a job and still keep it out of the hands of large government who screw up everything they try to run?

What to do if the running doctor in the hospital misdiagnosed the disease due to some disturbances.?

The thing is that i had taken my DD(15month old) to hospital coz of regular ear tugging and itching. It was the running doctor that would check my dd for it was not a regular schedule appointment.Before my turn came the doctor had a discussion with the former patient and was not in a good mood from what i observed and the Dr. now checked my dd and told that everything is fine. just apply some lotion it will be fine but i was not satisfied but had to wait for the regular appointment. And regularly i tried the lotion but it didn't go so i tried to shine a good source of light into the ear and there i could see a growth of tissue on the c very deep now i am so worried and want to complain about the doctor not diagnosing the disease properly what should i do, any suggestion could be appreciated.

Spawn Vs Superman?

I think spawn will because #1 He cant die #2 If he do die he can come back to life and #3 He can do almost anything . i know superman is stronger then him and overpower him but spawn will be able to heal back up. and if superman is able to pick him up and throw him out of space he can just use his cape or just teleport back down and if some how spawn die he can just resurrect him self and start fighting. all in all it would be a tie just because of spawn healing factor and superman durability, but if i had to choose i'll pick spawn just cuz he can heal and resurrect himself. anyone agree?

Oy vey. Theres this guy right? And I'm pretty sure he likes me - or at least I was. Ideas for continuing TV shows after their series finale?

By the time That 70s Show was in it's final season, the main characters all seemed to have other careers going on and didn't give a sheet about the show, themselves. Continuing the show would simply be a waste of money, time and film... not to mention just sad. Your idea would be good, if not for the fact that those involved with the show gave up on it, before it's finale. As for a follow-up to a series ending, I'm drawing a blaknk at any series that I'd want to see continue but I think there are a lot that could be done simply for shits & giggles. I'd love to see some show like take a turn for the worst. Married with Children could've shown Kelly knocked up, Al in prison for not paying alimony to the very rich and powerful Peggy, after their divorce.

Could I have gotten pregnant?

My fiance and I had once in the past month. We used a condom. I was on antibiotics for a tooth infection so I stopped taking the bc pills since the doc said it would make them ineffective anyway. Now my period has not shown up. I'm getting signs of a period, except NO BLOOD. And I've had an extra symptom...I'm hungry all the time, hungrier than usual. And last week I wasn't hungry at all. I usually have a normal appetite. I took the preg test and it said negative. But I think it might be too soon bc I'm going by when I would have the period according to my bc pill schedule, but since I haven't taken them for almost a month, maybe my period is supposed to be here in 30 days instead of 21? Either way I was supposed to have my period according to the pill schedule last Wednesday (March 11th.) The cramps were here last week, and now they are completely gone. I want them back, and I want my period! I really doubt I could be pregnant, I mean, it would be immaculate conception pretty much! What do you think?

There's this guy at work. We stare at each other. He mostly stares from afar and when I have one back on him. Only once I cached him staring at me and when I looked at him, he looked away. He never starts conversations or calls (we both have each other phone numbers), he's shy, but only around me, as he has two female co workers he always hangs out with and seems OK around them and even laughs loud when I'm around. I always try to start something by askig how is he, he replies shortly but doesn't want to go. It's like he wants to say something else, but hasn't guts. I also then turn away and walk as I always through a ball in his court by starting the conversation, but he never asks me any question (just the same as I asked him about How are you doing?) or compliment, or flirt or anything that might point he likes me. Once we had an eye lock, we say Hi un smile while p each other, but that's about it. Should I forget about him and try to move on or continue to open up him? It looks like he is not ready to date or have a relationship. Oh, and once he kinda did ask me out (it was at the very beggining when I slipped him my phone number and he took up all his guts to call me very late that day), but then after few days he said "We'll keep in touch". What do you think?

What do i do to get rid of the sulfur smell in my betta's fish bowl?

my betta fish is a red male i got him about a month ago and recently for the first time i used a shock tablet wen i cleaned his bowl i also have a live plant in with him and i take out about half the water everyday and clean the bowl well once or twice a week depending on sediments in the bowl. last time i used a shock tablet and i had never used one before and 2 days later my bowl stunk like a sulfur dumpster filled with baby diapers i washed the rocks over and over and cant get the smell out im wondering if anyone has any ideas to help me get rid of the smell and keep it away without harming my pretty little baby Benjamen the betta
