Someone saw my spirit, what does this mean?

My boyfriend moved to another country last year, and recently I've been missing him a lot. Once, I got a call from him (very worried) saying that he saw my spirit while he was waking up. Apparently, I was very pale, wearing white clothes, and very angry. Shocked, I asked him how he knew it wasn't a dream/just bogus, and he said that no matter how many times he looked away, turned away, rubbed his eyes, even slept for a few minutes and woke back up, i was STILL there. Strange thing is that I actually used to wish we could be together like old times, and how I wish i could just teleport and see him. Can anyone tells me what this means? How could my spirit have left my body and be seen by someone else. What should I do?
