Is it too soon to start buying Nursing books?

I am just barely taking my pre-reqs in Nursing. I want to be a Pediatric Nurse. I was at the bookstore the other day looking at Nursing books and review cards. I was contemplating buying one so that I can become familiar with the information before I start Nursing school. Do you think its a good idea or should I just wait? Thanks
