Could a three dimensional scale (such as a pyramidal scale) be used to show where people are on the gender/?

Most traits are far more complex than how we describe them. For example, what is intelligence? Can it really be narrowed down to a single number? Of course not. But certain facets of a trait are more important than others, sometimes to such an extent that those facets can be considered a shorthand for the trait itself, like IQ. While a three dimensional model is by definition going to be more accurate, this accuracy is dependent on what facets you include and the relative weight you give each of them.
